Assistant Director of Finance – Munich

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Director of Finance to support the finance function within a prestigious five-star hospitality environment located in the heart of Munich’s Old Town. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, luxury setting and contribute to high-level financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of strategic plans, budgets, and key performance objectives
  • Assist in implementing and reviewing financial controls and policies
  • Analyse financial and management reports to support decision-making
  • Evaluate and improve internal control measures related to accounting procedures and systems
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Assist with monthly account reconciliations and review processes
  • Provide administrative and financial support to management
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial and operational reporting
  • Monitor and control inventory, credit, disbursements, deposits, and remittances
  • Ensure adherence to corporate reporting deadlines

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., Certified Accountant or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • Candidates must have a relevant EU work visa

We are seeking an exceptional Human Resources Director to join the leadership team of a world-renowned luxury destination in the Italian Alps. This is a rare opportunity to partner directly with the General Manager and senior leaders to drive a dynamic, forward-thinking HR strategy aligned with an ambitious global vision.

The Opportunity

As a strategic business partner, you will:

  • Lead and elevate all HR operations across the resort
  • Align local people initiatives with global business objectives
  • Drive innovative talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning
  • Champion learning & development programmes that reflect world-class service standards
  • Oversee compensation & benefits aligned with the luxury hospitality market
  • Foster strong employee engagement, communication, and recognition initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Director of Human Resources, ideally within luxury hospitality
  • Strong knowledge of Italian employment law
  • Strategic mindset with the confidence to challenge norms and improve processes
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Financial acumen with a commercial approach to HR
  • Experience in Learning & Development and succession planning
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU
