Group Finance Manager – London
The Opportunity:
We are currently partnering with an incredibly prestigious, privately backed group that operates a portfolio of premium luxury wellness, boutique fitness, and high-end dining brands in Central London. With a combined turnover of circa £25m, around 300 employees, and 7 stunning sites across the capital, they represent the absolute pinnacle of premium hospitality and lifestyle.
Following significant recent investment into their flagship locations, they are looking to hire a sharp, commercially minded Group Finance Manager.
This is a brilliant, hands-on opportunity reporting directly to a dynamic Group Finance Director. You will take full ownership of the day-to-day finance operations across multiple trading entities, making it the perfect move for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves building strong partnerships with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
As Group Finance Manager, you will lead a small team and act as the financial linchpin for the group’s diverse portfolio:
- Financial Management: Deliver comprehensive monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary, supported by your team.
- Commercial Business Partnering: Produce weekly flash trade reports and collaborate directly with General Managers and Heads of Department to spot trends, manage costs, and drive efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of three accounts assistants.
- Group Consolidation: Oversee intercompany reconciliations, recharges, and consolidation across multiple luxury brands.
- Operational Cash Flow & Core Finance: Maintain weekly cash flow forecasts and provide oversight for all AP, cash takings, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Payroll & Tronc Oversight: Supervise group payroll processing (via an outsourced provider, Fourth) and coordinate with an external troncmaster to ensure accurate distribution compliance.
- Compliance & Audit: Manage statutory compliance (VAT returns, PAYE) and prepare schedules for the year-end audit.
About you:
This role requires someone who loves a vibrant, face-to-face team culture and possesses the communication skills to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance teams.
- Qualifications: You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Experience: A proven background working with similar SME businesses—either in-house or making your first move out of practice. Prior experience in the hospitality, food & beverage (F&B), or leisure sector is a massive advantage.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing and developing junior finance staff.
- Technical Savvy: Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables) are essential. Experience with Xero and exposure to EPOS systems will put you at a distinct advantage.
- Work Style: A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to confidently challenge department heads when discussing site budgets.
Why Apply?
If you are tired of dry, corporate finance roles and want to work with brands that are genuinely exciting, this is it. You will get direct exposure to senior leadership, high-level project work (like labour efficiency and cost analysis), and the chance to truly influence the financial direction of an expanding luxury portfolio.
