We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the hotel finance function and support the continued success of our client’s luxury resort. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the finance department, leading Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Income Audit and the Finance Assistant Manager. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, compliance, audit support, cash flow management and driving financial performance across the property.

About You

You will have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ finance experience, ideally within hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
  • Experience with hotel finance systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US as sponsorship will not be provided.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accountant to join our client’s Finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a prestigious year-round resort.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Assistant Financial Controller and wider Finance team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the accounting function. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with month-end close processes and financial reporting
  • Performing daily income audits and related reconciliations
  • Managing all aspects of retail accounting, inventory movements, and costing
  • Tracking consignment sales and preparing monthly invoices
  • Monitoring banking activities and maintaining banking records
  • Preparing monthly sales tax returns
  • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reviewing and analysing credit card fees
  • Supporting internal controls, policies, and financial compliance
  • Providing assistance across a broad range of finance activities

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with excellent organisational abilities and a proactive mindset.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience, ideally within hospitality, hotel, resort, or leisure sectors
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and income auditing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following systems would be advantageous:

  • Opera
  • Micros/Symphony
  • Sun Systems
  • Birchstreet

Our client, owner of a luxury hotel group, is seeking an Experienced Resort Financial Controller to head up their accounting team at one of their best performing properties based in Western USA.

Reporting to the General Manager and Regional Financial Controller, the on-site head of department will be responsible for overall daily administration of the accounting department and its functions including accurate and timely reporting, including the production of daily reports.

The role of Financial Controller will oversee the following positions:

  • Financial Analyst/Cost Controller
  • Accounts Payable Clerk/Cashier
  • Night Auditors
  • Warehouse/Service Building Supervisor

Qualifications:
