Director of Finance – London

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and serving as a key member of the Executive Committee, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the business, driving commercial performance while ensuring the highest standards of financial governance and operational excellence.
The Role
This is a highly visible leadership position, responsible for the overall financial management of the hotel. You will partner closely with senior leadership, ownership, and the management company to shape business strategy, maximise profitability, and support continued operational success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Delivering insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Managing financial reporting, cash flow, balance sheet and P&L performance
- Ensuring robust financial controls, governance and statutory compliance
- Driving commercial initiatives, cost optimisation and operational efficiencies
- Overseeing purchasing and procurement functions
- Building strong relationships with ownership, auditors and external stakeholders
- Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team
- Championing a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement
About You
We are seeking an experienced finance leader with a proven track record within luxury hospitality.
You will bring:
- Previous experience as a Director of Finance or Head of Finance within a luxury hotel environment
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and financial planning capabilities
- Experience managing complex financial operations and reporting
- Advanced knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
- Professional accounting qualifications are preferred, although exceptional experience will also be considered
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK as sponsorship will not be provided
