Director of Financial Reporting & Control – London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance leader to join a growing hospitality investment platform as Director of Financial Reporting & Control. Based in London, you will oversee financial reporting, governance and performance analysis across a portfolio of approximately 10 hotel assets located throughout Africa.

This is a highly visible role, acting as the central link between hotel finance teams, asset management, operations, development, investment and ownership stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency and integrity of financial information across multiple jurisdictions.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process across the hotel portfolio.
  • Reviewing, challenging and consolidating financial submissions from hotel finance teams.
  • Producing high-quality reporting packs for ownership groups, lenders, investors and investment committees.
  • Establishing and maintaining reporting standards, KPIs and governance frameworks.
  • Supporting hotel finance managers and financial controllers with technical accounting guidance.
  • Managing cash flow forecasting and liquidity reporting across the portfolio.
  • Developing financial models for acquisitions, refinancing activities, disposals and capital expenditure projects.
  • Conducting financial performance analysis, market benchmarking and revenue reviews.
  • Overseeing multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction reporting requirements.
  • Supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and financial controls.
  • Driving continuous improvements in reporting quality, efficiency and financial governance.
  • Undertaking periodic travel to hotel locations and other jurisdictions as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
  • 10–15+ years’ experience in senior finance, reporting or financial control positions.
  • Previous experience within hotels, hospitality, real estate or other asset-intensive sectors.
  • Strong experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction reporting environments.
  • Proven ability to consolidate financial information from geographically dispersed operations.
  • Excellent financial reporting, technical accounting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Exposure to SAGE ERP 300 or similar ERP systems would be advantageous.
