Director of Finance – Western USA
Located in one of the world’s most iconic luxury desert resorts, our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead all financial operations. This role is integral to maintaining the resort’s exceptional standards, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting long-term business success in a unique, ultra-luxury environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the General Manager and senior leadership team
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and audit requirements
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth
- Manage capital expenditure planning and financial risk assessment
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial systems
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader, ideally within luxury hospitality or resorts
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decisions
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
- Experience working in remote or resort environments is highly desirable
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
- Candidates should have either a Green Card or US Citizenship to be considered for this role
