Financial Controller – Luxury hotel, London
Our client is an iconic luxury hotel based in London and is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its large Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring robust financial control, compliance, and operational excellence across the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Director of Finance and liaise with owners and the management company as required
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, credit control, income audit, payroll checks, and credit card reconciliations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and month-end and year-end reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and tax requirements
- Assist with internal and external audits and corporate reporting deadlines
- Manage contracts, car fleet administration, and financial documentation
- Support stock control processes, including F&B and spa stock reviews
- Lead, train, and develop the Finance team, fostering a strong team culture and high performance
- Assist with guest billing queries, travel agent commissions, and ad-hoc finance projects
The ideal candidate will have strong financial and supervisory skills, excellent attention to detail, advanced Excel capability, and experience within a hospitality or luxury environment.
