Hotel Financial Accountant – London

To support the Area Director of Finance and Financial Controller, in organising and managing the weekly forecasting cycle for the UK Hotels.

  • To develop a set of analytical reports in the new forecasting system to aid management in decision making.
  • To support the Executive teams of the UK properties in the yearly budgeting cycle.
  • To conduct and report on audits in the operations on the following data; daily write offs, POS checks, banqueting function profitability.
  • To carry out audits on the internal payroll process on holidays booking and balances, lieu time recorded and taken, ghost employee checks.
  • To conduct a bi-yearly audit on the travel agent commission payment process and set-up.
  • To run the weekly commission payment for the UK Properties and ensure that all agents commission are paid on time.
  • To assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounting pack for the UK properties as assigned by the Financial Controller.
  • To assist in the monthly balance sheet reconciliations as and when required.
  • Act as support to Operation Managers & the Finance department on ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Area Director of Finance and/or Financial Controller.
  • To provide ACCURATE management information
  • Minimum of one year in a hotel accounts department environment within a similar position.
